Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

One of the very best features about Beech Hall School is its diverse community and both at Beech Hall and as the wider Chatsworth Schools family, we want to ensure that diversity is celebrated and that we create environments where pupils, staff and parents feel that they belong and where everyone can thrive and grow, not despite our differences, but because of them!

We are passionate in ensuring that everyone from all cultures and nationalities feel as though our Chatsworth Schools are safe spaces in which they can celebrate their backgrounds. It is vital that our pupils, staff and parents feel as though their voices are being listened to and all ideas are welcome in creating a wider voice for diversity, equity and inclusion.

What does Diversity, Equity and Inclusion stand for at Beech Hall School?

DIVERSITY

We recognise, respect and celebrate each other’s differences. Our diverse environment is one with a wide range of backgrounds and mindsets, which allows for an empowered culture of creativity and innovation.

EQUITY

We seek to ensure fair treatment, equality of opportunity, and fairness in access to information and resources for all. We believe this is only possible in an environment built on respect and dignity.

INCLUSION

We endeavour to create an environment where everyone feels welcome and valued. Our ultimate aim at Beech Hall School and at Chatsworth Schools is for all our children to leave us as well-rounded in the widest sense: their minds will be open; their horizons broad; and their hearts open to all citizens around them. 21st century education is not just about learning through a ‘new lens’ but learning through a ‘diverse, equitable and inclusive lens.’ All of our children will be fully equipped to live and thrive in a multi-cultural world, where they will model tolerance, inclusion and respect, because of their education at Beech Hal School and Chatsworth Schools.
