Junior (Reception-Year 6)
Pupils move from Nursery and Pre-School through to Reception Class and then onwards into Year 1 and beyond in a carefully planned progression. They are taught by experienced and well-qualified teachers who enjoy the support of teaching assistants, making rapid progress during what is known as the Key Stages 1 and 2 of their education.
The small classes ensure that a great deal of individual care and attention is given to each child. Our pupils quickly grow in confidence during this stage and many are still sufficiently lively to stay on after school and participate in one of several after-school clubs.
We believe that a successful and enriching education comes from an effective, 3-way partnership and relationship between the school, the pupils and their parents, and consequently parents are always welcome to the school to discuss their child’s progress with teachers, and to participate in the wider life of the school community.
Our small class sizes and very bespoke approach to education means that we can rapidly identify any areas where pupils may be having difficulties, or where they can be helped to push on a little faster to maximize their talents. We will always discuss these with parents and agree the strategies and approaches we can adopt to ensure that every child is succeeding and progressing.
