Here at Beech Hall School we are proud to offer a fully inclusive Sports Programme for all, whatever your child’s interests and ability. As a sports department we offer high quality specialist teaching in all areas of Physical Education. We aim for high standards, but participation and enjoyment for all are at the forefront of our vision. Ensuring all pupils have a positive experience of school sport and go onto enjoy lifelong participation.
We have excellent facilities, including an Astro-turf, heated swimming pool, netball courts, fitness suite, a football pitch and provision for rounder’s and athletics. Our Sports Hall houses activities such as indoor cricket nets, gymnastics, badminton, volleyball and basketball to name a few. In the Summer, our cricket fixtures are hosted at Macclesfield CC, a wonderful venue that offers our pupils with opportunity to play cricket at a high quality facility. Also at Beech Hall School, we recognise the importance of swimming from a young age and as part of the timetable, all of our pupils from Reception to Year 4 have a weekly swimming lesson at Bollington Leisure Centre.
Our key performance sports at Beech Hall School are Football, Netball, Rugby and Cricket. Our pupils also have the opportunity to represent the school in sporting activities such as Cross Country, Athletics, Swimming and Tennis. We are really proud to offer our pupils regular opportunities to play competitive school sport in friendly fixtures, leagues and in a range of Independent Schools Association (ISA) sporting festivals and tournaments.
Sport also underpins our extra curriculum programme, where our pupils at Beech Hall are given the chance to practice and develop their skills and techniques, whilst at the same time, developing key life skills to prepare our pupils for life beyond the school gates, such as: leadership, communication, resilience and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
